What is our Mission?

La Palma, El Salvador, Central America

Mission:  Teach the people in La Palma, El Salvador about God, His holy Word—The Bible, about His Son Jesus Christ, about the love of God, about the Church that Christ built, about how to obey the Commands of Jesus and be a part of that Church, and how to evangelize their own community.

Mathew 28: 18And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20“teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

We believe that the words of Jesus are applicable to us today, and that teaching all nations includes teaching the people in La Palma.  The message, of course, means that we are to teach ALL nations, but we have a great opportunity in front of us to reach out right now to the people in La Palma, and we plan to capitalize on that opportunity.

In June 2005 , 34 Christians from our region helped conduct medical work, construction work, and evangelism in the city.  The Mayor, Hector Hernandez,  graciously offered us the Community Center building for a week.  It was wonderful and we conducted a free medical clinic in the daytime and an evangelistic campaign at night.  We treated about 1000 people for various ailments, but more importantly, we had an opportunity to teach every one of them about Jesus.  Our team taught door-to-door and publicly.  We taught young and old, but we specifically reached out to the children.  We influenced the community and edified the church there.  We encouraged the brethren who work and live there.  We baptized 7 and helped many others with prayer requests.  We helped increase the quality of life for those we helped medically.   We increased the chances that those we came in contact with have an eternal home with GOD.  Our time spent with them may be short, but our influence on them may be eternal.  We can create a culture that preaches the Word of God in it’s purity.  WE CAN!

In June 2006 took 61 missionaries and had an even better trip.

We are planning quarterly trips as follows:

June 2007 Evangelism and Medical

March 2007 Evangelism and Construction

September 2007 Evangelism

December 2007 Evangelism
