Fund Raising Statement
The Monett, Missouri Church of Christ is planning, sponsoring, and supervising some mission trips to El Salvador in June of 2006. The leadership and directors of the trips are experienced and competent and will follow safety and security procedures appropriate to the circumstances. We will be conducting medical, evangelistic, and construction work.
The trips are conducted for the purpose of glorifying God, saving souls, and helping the people of El Salvador. Each person who goes will benefit by growing in faith, spirituality, and gratitude.
We anticipate that the basic trip will cost $990 per person, payable to the Monett Church of Christ, El Salvador fund, plus $100 personal and miscellaneous expense. We have asked each participant to pay his/her own expenses. Also, each person is responsible for the cost of his/her passport, immunizations, and personal items and clothing.
Payment to the Monett church may be made in one lump sum prior to March 1, 2006 or in equal payments made on March 1, April 1, and May 1, 2006. Please note that air fare is the bulk of the cost and significant increases between now and actual booking may have to be passed on to the traveler. If a person cancels after the tickets are purchased (about 60 days in advance of trip), we will make every effort possible to find a replacement. If a replacement cannot be found, the amount paid will be forfeited.
What is included in the $990 cost? Air and bus fare to La Palma, two meals per day, drinking water, group rate motel costs, and emigration fee from El Salvador. Those desiring or needing private or semi-private rooms will have to pay the increase in costs for such.
